Door County

I took a the bike to Door County today, the cherry trees are in bloom.

Just another nice day!

It started with a self portrait...

A few years ago I was driving on a dirt road in the New Mexico desert, nothing but flat nothingness as far as I could see. No photo opportunities here!    But, there was an interesting cloud in the sky, so I stopped the car and grabbed a camera.  As I stepped into the desert my shadow stretched forward in the low light, leading me to of all things, a crop circle in the desert directly under the cloud. Now I had my photo opp!

I reframed a bit and shot the cloud over crop circle. Later I followed the cloud through the desert watching it's shape evolve.

One hour later

I followed the cloud till it began to rain in the distance, and a small rainbow formed to the left. [Please Click on any of these images to view more detail.]  

At Dusk

Just after sunset the cloud turned into a fireball with a dark blue sky below. Some days you just get lucky following a cloud.
