It seems that wooden barns are disappearing almost daily, small family farms giving way to huge commercial dairy operations. That made finding this old wooden silo even more of a treasure.
you have one beautiful blog here, Glen. While this image is not one I prefer (the greens appear to be a bit pushed - only a personal opinion), you have so many outstanding pictures down there that it is impressivwe. Fall Lake2292, wow... Well, I will comment in the next days.
It's my habit to say what I think, and that is not necessarily full blown praise. I hope you don't mind... Well, I do the same for my own pictures that I often down-rate ! :-)
love this photo - colors so rich. my daughter and i are always on the lookout for cool abandoned places - i feel there's so much texture and character in the older structures.
Kaukauna, can you say COLD!, Wisconsin, United States
I have been a commercial photographer as long as I can remember. Although I live in a small town, Kaukauna Wisconsin, I have been fortunate to have my work take me all over the states, into Mexico and Canada. When not working, I still like to travel but do most of it on BMW R1200gs adventure touring motorcycle. When winter comes to Wisconsin my spare time turns to woodworking. Building furniture, ornate jewelry boxes for the girls, and currently, cabinets for my kitchen remodel. As I have time I will add photos of my work, personal travels, motorcycles, and woodworking projects.
Hope you check back often, because like our lives, this blog is a work in progress.
Very nice colors and light
ReplyDeletePrecioso cuadro, el color parece casi irreal y los charcos de luz como testigos de una enorme arbolada rodeando la casa. Buena toma.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
Saddly, we are losing a deal of our barns here in New England too.
